Hi Everyone,

my name is Sirius. I was born in Romania in 2018, but now I live in Germany with my new Mum and Dad who have adopted me in July 2020.

I have had quite a rough life leading up to my adoption.

Georgiana has rescued me from the Public Kill Shelter in Făgăraș in October 2019. I was only skin and bones and I suffered from demodex mites which is why my fur looked really scruffy. But worst of all, someone thought it was funny to cut of my ears and my tail. My mummy keeps telling me that this is one of the worst things a human can do to an animal, nevertheless, I am madly in love with every living being on this planet. However, it was not easy for me to find my forever home. Humans apparently don’t always love and want black dogs, and on top of that my ears and my tail is missing. These might have been the reasons for not getting one single application in over a year, whilst I was living at Georgiana’s.

But back to my life story. Things have gotten much better in 2019 when Georgiana took me to her Shelter, where no dogs get killed, every dog gets enough food and water and every dog is safe. I really loved my kennel mate Tasha very much. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for her) she was adopted before me, and again, I was left alone in my kennel. Even though Georgiana tries her very best every day to keep us all happy (and remember we are a group of about 250 dogs), most of us are extremely lonely. We are all longing for a home, where we are safe and warm and were someone loves us every day, until the rest of our life’s. I have found this kind of home. I now live in Munich with my mum and my dad. I absolutely love going for long walks in the English Garden, I jump into the Isar (river) whenever possible and I need to greet every single dog in the park. Really nothing can fluster me, I take the tube, I go on the bus, I go riding with my mum in the woods, I go to restaurants with my mum and dad and I even went to Ikea with my mum once – basically I am just a pretty cool dude. At my grandparents’ house I share my garden with three other dogs and three ducks - this is definitely my happy place!

My biggest wish is that one day, all of my friends in Georgiana’s shelter will find their furever home, just like I did.

Lots of love from Germany

Sirius
